Diesel Particulate Filters

Why we have them

In the United Kingdom, Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) play a crucial role in reducing harmful emissions from diesel vehicles. These filters are installed in the exhaust systems of vehicles to capture and trap particulate matter, specifically fine soot particles, before they are released into the atmosphere. By doing so, DPF filters help mitigate the adverse health effects of these particles, such as respiratory issues and cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, they contribute towards meeting the strict emission standards set by the UK government to combat air pollution and improve overall air quality. As a result, the use of DPF filters has become a legal requirement for diesel vehicles, ensuring cleaner and safer roads for all citizens.
